Daily Bible Devotion

June 21, 2012 Eeek!!
Hi Friends! I know you have been experiencing troubles the past few days accessing the app. For that, we are so sorry. We understand that in order to have a growing relationship with Christ it is important to have a reliable app. We understand that spiritual growth hangs in the balance. Having said that, we are enduring some server challenges. We are doing all that we can to overcome it and get back on track. Friends, Jim and I could really use your prayers right now. We ask for your patience as we work through this. As a short term fix, you can read our devotionals on facebook. iPhone users: The recent update works fine, but because the server is down it prohibits you from getting the devotions. Thank you for understanding. On our knees, Jamie and Jim

June 6, 2012 AM/PM
Hi DBD followers, Ever been left wanting more after you read a devotion? Well, we’ve answered that need in several ways. First, we have released a new app with longer devotions called Beyond Bible Devotion. In addition, we have added a new feature to Daily Bible Devotion…morning and evening devotions. That way you can wake up with God’s Word and go to sleep with it as well. We are so appreciative of everyone (yes, even the critical comments – it just makes us work harder for God!) and continue to pray your faith is flourishing. Blessings, Jamie and Jim

May 23, 2012 Mission Growth
Hello DBD friends, If you can’t tell, we’ve been hard at work. We have been releasing several other apps. At first glance, they may seem unrelated. However, there is a faith-driven method to the madness. Our mission is based off of Matthew 13:3-23, spreading the seeds of God’s Word. The passage talks about how easily or hard a person receives the Word based upon knowledge, persecution, and readiness. Jim and I are in the process of developing apps to help people develop their faith to grow at any stage. We want to prepare the soil for the seed to be planted by imparting wisdom, knowledge, and encouragement. In this way, we can foster strong, deep roots of faith to grow. With this in mind, we are beginning to promote our other apps to assist you in growing your faith. We are initially deploying on the Android platform but plan to make them available on iPhone, Nook, and Fire platforms soon. Be on the lookout for the new apps. In Him, Jamie and Jim

April 27, 2012 You Asked
Hi DBD readers, We wanted to thank you for all of your helpful suggestions. We heard an overwhelming response from everyone that different translations were important. We also heard that people wanted to read more of the context from where the verse was selected. If you haven’t noticed, we have implemented those two requests. From now on, the scripture reference will link to several different translations. Then, once you tap on the selected translation it will take you to another screen with the selected chapter in the translation you selected. Each one of you are valued readers and we want to help you grow in your relationship with Christ. We hope Daily Bible Devotion is a trusted app that you can depend on and we plan to have future improvements. While we can’t always accommodate every request, we will certainly do our best to fulfill those that are within our reach. Your servants in Christ, Jamie and Jim

February 27, 2012 Spreading God's Word
Hi DBD friends! Isn’t it exciting to watch God move? Wow, we are so grateful to have a front row seat to view God’s work in our lives. Daily Bible Devotion is now available in China and Korea! Can you believe the populations in these countries are now able to read God’s Word in their language? And we don’t plan on stopping there, we have more plans on the way to spread God’s Word. Thanks for your support! Blessings, Jamie and Jim

January 31, 2012 A Note of Thanks
Hi DBD Followers, Jim and I consistently pray over each one of you and pray you feel God’s presence in your life. We are very appreciative of your support. We want to thank you for the beautiful comments, helpful advice, and even the corrections. Without this information we wouldn’t be able to make the app better. Thank you for trusting us enough to share it with your friends and family. We realize that you take a leap of faith when you share the app or a devotional with your loved ones. Blessings, Jamie and Jim

January 20, 2012 Troubleshooting
Why is there a delay? The devotions are loading in the background and take time to update depending on the strength of your internet connection. If you leave the page too quickly, the messages don’t have time to pop in. Did you wait and it still didn’t appear? Try this: Tap the home button. Then select reload (arrows forming a circle) to refresh.

January 17, 2012 God is Growing us
Good afternoon DBD Followers! We are so excited to tell you of our latest growth!! Not only is Daily Bible Devotion available on Android and iPhone but it is now available on the Nook and Fire. These two additions are reaching a greater audience and gaining traction for people to grow in their daily walk with God. In addition, the original Android app has also surpassed 50,000 downloads. This tremendous growth is incredibly encouraging and to see that God is making our work fruitful. Thank you so much for sharing these devotions with your friends and family. It is an honor. Blessings, Jamie and Jim

November 24, 2011 iPhone App Release!
Yaay!! Believe it or not, the iPhone app has been released. We are so excited to share the news with you that we have released an iPhone app!! I know you have friends and family who haven’t been able to receive the devotionals on their phone because they have iPhones. We want to use this to help spread God’s word and to help other’s grow their faith. The iPhone app is free to everyone and works on iPhone 3GS and above. If you are interested in sharing with family and friends or downloading for yourself here’s a link: http://bit.ly/s1fh7H God bless, Jim and Jamie

October 7, 2011 What do you think about…
Hi DBD Friends! We have been thinking of ways to help spread God’s word and introduce others to God’s messages in the Bible. Since each one of you play a big part in this we wanted to get your feedback on a new offering. Picture this: you just got finished reading today’s devotion and it strike’s you that your friend Joe would really enjoy today’s devotional. But you wanted to send it to him in a personalized, meaningful way other than email, Twitter, or Facebook. Oh wait! What about sending a postcard with today’s devotional, a brief message, and a beautiful image straight to Joe’s home. A heavenly gift waiting for him in his mailbox. We’ve been thinking about incorporating this feature for a small price (like a few dollars). However, we wanted to get some feedback as to whether you would want and use this feature. Let us know your thoughts and if you would use this service to partner in spreading God’s message by emailing devotion@jctrois.com. As always, Jim and I are so grateful to you and we pray for your growth. Jamie and Jim

September 30, 2011 New Release Out!
Breaking news!! We have a new release out. The biggest feature is the fish icon will appear in your status bar when a new devotional is available. We’ve tried to keep it low key (no chimes, whistles or bells going off) so it doesn’t become distracting or annoying. The other item included in the update is a fix to the tablet app view. The devotionals are now displaying properly when viewed by a tablet. And we just couldn’t let that continue to happen, so have no fear, there is a fix! Blessings, Jim and Jamie

September 26, 2011 We are Blessed
We are so blessed that you are reading these devotions. But we are also so thankful to those of you who have taken the time to leave us comments about the app. We want to continue to improve the app and with your help we can do it. We especially want to recognize individuals who have contacted us about devotionals not showing up on the tablet. We are hard at work troubleshooting and updating it to get things working for you. In addition, a heartfelt thank you goes out to those who have taken the time to email us words of encouragement. It really does mean a lot to us and we do read each one of them. Blessings, Jim and Jamie

September 6, 2011 A Milestone
We did it!!! This past Sunday we broke a record! We reached 10,000 downloads of the Daily Bible Devotion app. Thank you so much to each and every one who has downloaded our app. It is exciting to see so many people are connecting with God’s word. We can’t thank you enough. However, we recognize this growth is not because of our efforts. Instead, it all comes from God so credit is due to God. If you haven’t updated to the newest version you may want to do so. We have made it easier to share each devotional through Facebook and Twitter. If there is a devotional that spoke to you feel free to share it with your friends and family. Thank you, once again, for partnering with Daily Bible Devotional to spread God’s word. God bless, Jim and Jamie

September 1, 2011 You are a Blessing
We want to thank each and every one of you who have left us comments and feedback. We are so grateful that you took the time to tell us how we can make Daily Bible Devotion better. The whole idea behind the app is to use the skills God has blessed us with to grow his kingdom. Our focus is to write devotions that can help non believers or new believers grow in their walk with God. The devotions may be brief or may not be completely fulfilling to mature believers. However, these devotions are designed to minister to others. Please take advantage of sharing them with friends and family. You can be assured they will be appropriately simple. Also we look forward to making the devotions easier to share. Stay tuned for new updates.

July 22, 2011 Our Story
We’re very excited that God has given us this opportunity to share our daily devotionals with the world. God has given us the talent to use our technology skills to spread his message. We want to share His messages in a meaningful way, one that touches every part of your life. Our desire is that these messages and life applications will allow you to see and experience life through the lens of our heavenly father. We are also eager to invite those who are not sure about their faith. We want you to follow us and possibly grow your faith in time at your pace. So, welcome to the Daily Bible Devotion. We really do hope and pray that God can make a difference in your life! God Bless!

Have a Blessed Day!
